As a resident of Alaska for 40 years, my husband Mark and I have made our home in West Anchorage for 29 of them — it's where we raised our daughter, Amelia. We cherish the lifestyle Alaska offers, enjoying the snowy winters and breathtaking summers that allow us to engage in a variety of outdoor activities. Our home is filled with the love of many pets, reflecting our appreciation for the natural beauty and wildlife of our state.

My journey in Alaska has been profoundly shaped by the opportunities available here. Amelia — a ski instructor, recently married and now adventuring through Europe with her husband — grew up grasping hold of those same boundless possibilities. I want her young family, and every young Alaskan family, to find the same open doors here that I did. These opportunities were inspired and made possible by the unique spirit of Alaska and its people.

I have served our community in various capacities, gaining valuable experience that I believe can bring positive change to our state. With a career dedicated to public service, I have worked to ensure that our community's needs are met with integrity and dedication — from local government positions to state-level responsibilities. Actively participating in local organizations and community projects, I have built strong relationships and a deep understanding of the concerns and aspirations of our residents.
